    Don't think so

I ordered off the main fat gripz site and were here within a week.

What did it convert to in euros including shipping/taxes etc.?

Try Irish Strength Institute. I know they're not a supplier but someone told me they had a load of this stuff that they sell from time to time.http://www.isipersonaltraining.com/

Mine were about €35 delivered ordered from their main site, I selected to have them shipped from their UK agent so you have no worries of customs. Price may have changed.

The other day I wrapped my rings, and later my bar with knee wraps. It thickens it nicely and you can tuck it into itself so it is better than just using towels, it did spin on the chinup bar though, the fat gripz don't.

Yeah but you don't get annoying blisters from pullups chinups or catch some skin badly which cuts your set short. I'd probably buy them if i saw them in a shop.

Agree. Should have bought straps. They're cheaper and have the complete opposite effect in that they make it easier on your grip. No brainer, tbh.

Would lifting gloves not be just as good?
    Straps or gloves?

Both. And chalk. Maybe some strongman tacky too, just to be safe.

why would you do that when the whole point of fat gripz is that they make it harder to grip things?
using them on regular dumbells for a farmers walk was quite an eye opener

it got confustigated with the thanks on the alexsmith post.
Anyone ever see cheaper versions of them anywhere? The price is more than Id pay and the old 't shirt around the bar' trick from andy boltons gym isnt something Id use apart from on rows

I'm not sure he was joking... I have not seen cheaper commercial versions, there are other ones which have a slight cone shape to them.

There were a few sites showing how to make them but if you didn't have the stuff about it could end up costing more and not be as good. one is here, there are a good few more
    http://www.blackdovenest.com/2011/02/homemade-thick-bar-handles-for-barbell.html
I like making my own stuff esp. when I can tweak a design to suit me which I might prefer over the commercial model. I have access to lots of equipment & materials but didn't bother attempting these. I did first make PVC tubes that slotted onto my chinup bar, these were just loose and rotating but were good but the fat gripz are far better and go on bar/dumbbells of course.

They are $54.30 from fat gripz posted from the UK which should be just over €40.

If I lost mine I would buy them again -thats my usual question to check if things are worth the price. I did once squander my hard earned cash on extra 5kg weight plates once, what the hell was I thinking! it made it much harder to lift my barbell when I put them on.
