    I,
Ive tried to contact the embassy in the UK but cant get through. My sister is in Asia at the moment, and has booked a last minute flight to Vietnam in the morning, however, has no visa. She didnt realise. Is there a visa on arrival you can get without having to apply for anything online? Im nearly sure i flew in there with no visa?!
    Panic stations

    Thanks in advance.

Have you had a look at http://www.myvietnamvisa.com/

    Seems pretty straight forward.

Best of luck to your sister, let us know what happened.

No they wont let you on the plane without a visa, happened to a friend of mine.
Im going SE Asia for 3 months & the only visa I had to apply for was the Vietnam visa, had to send passport over to their embassy in London. took about 3 weeks from time I sent out until I got it back.
The onlly thing I can think off is to go to the Vietnam embassy in Bangkok, get it done their, you will be waiting around for 2-3 days, best option IMO.

I was planning on using this myvietnamvisa.com. So you think it's not a good idea? So many people say it's fine?

Myvietnamvisa is fine to use, as are other agents. You can also organise a visa in one day through a travel agent in Bangkok for a fee. There's absolutely no need to go near an embassy in any country if you're stuck for time. Going to the embassy might be the cheapest option though.

By far the easiest option is using a service like myvietnamvisa. (Actually, I've just checked their fees - very reasonable - you'd be mad to do it any other way).

When I was travelling a few years ago had to leave my passport in the Vietnamese Embassy (was in NZ at the time) for a few days while they procesed Visa. Other countries in SE Asia such as Thailand, Laos and Cambodia could all be done on arrival at the airport I think.

Edit Skimmed thread there but don't know about the agents. Hope it works
