Well guys wondering if someone here could shed a light on my prob. I have a 99 E46 318 as the title says. When i start the car from cold im getting power loss e.g. i will start driving and if i push the accelerator down full i the car just seems to move forward very slow and the revs dont go up, actually sometimes they drop. The car could already be going 20 mph at this stage even more. It seems like all the power has drained away and the car chugs on a bit. Then all of a sudden the power will kick in and the car will drive normally again.

This only seems to happen when the engine is cold. Any ideas what this could be?

Check all plumbing from the air filter housing back to the block, for a start.

It sounds like either ignition coils or at a push, a faulty MAF.
