I have recently come into posession of an RAF Weapons Loader Type Y, and was wondering where would I go to source collectors for this.

It was used by the RAF frontline bases for loading ordnance onto aircraft. And its a large piece of kit.

Hi OP, that sounds interesting. Does it look something like this ?

Just a guess but I reckon your best bet is to get in touch with someone who's into old vehicles.
They might be able to use it alternatively as a 'lift' of some kind for maintainance ?

    You could try :

    boards.rec- antiques collectibles- Militaria
    or
Luftwaffe Flying Corps: Uniforms, Traditions, and Equipment
    http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=116

International Militaria Forum Rest of the World Militaria.
    http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15

    British and Commonwealth Militaria
    http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=56

    There is also
    http://gmic.co.uk/

but they may not be as busy a forum as Wehrmacht-awards.

I'd recommend getting 2nd opinions if you are thinking of selling it. Provenance of the item, the details on where it came from usually help the price.
