Timing belt kit/ water pump 1.9 diesel golf

    Hi guys,


    Interested in picking up a new car. Been looking at a 2007 1.9 tdi diesel golf. 70,000m / 110,000 km on the clock. When should the timing belt be replaced, and how much is this likely to cost including labour roughly?


    If anyone happens to know, it would be great just to give me an idea.

    120,000km or 5 years is the interval.

    Cost will vary depending on where you go. As a guide we charge €350 using a genuine VW kit and pump.

    Ive a 1.9TDi 05 A3, so fairly similar. I was told by my mechanic to get mine done somewhere between 60-80k miles, cost about 300-350 quid.
