iPhone 4s - No Service - O2

Bought the iPhone 4s yesterday from O2. Can't make or receive calls - O2 had me do a backup and restore which did not work. Then did a reset of network setting, still no joy. Have checked the O2 online community and lots of people having this problem. Getting through to O2 is difficult and tbh I don't think they really have an answer. Very annoying sitting doing back ups and restores - takes forever. Anyone here suffering? Any solutions?

O2 had problems yesterday from about 4 till 10 no calls, txt or data working but should be fix now, even that shows you have coverage and full lines, have you tried using the SIM in another phone or another SIM in your 4s

This was happening to me on my iPhone 4 (not 4s) all weekend.
Anyone have problems with their iPhone 4?

I just tried removing the sim lock now,
so hopefully I can receive calls again, very strange though.
