    Tallaght are seriously slow.

I sent in my complete application for renewal last year. Then, in mid October, they decided to send out a form to get signed by UCD to say I'm a student. Isn't that what the letter and exam results from UCD are for?!!!

I have €23 in my bank account :|

Still waiting on mine as well. Getting ridiculous. I had to pay half my registration fee today as my library access was revoked.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Are you guys applying for the first year or are you continuing?

This is my 3rd year getting the grant, they have all of my details on file. All they needed were my earnings, and yet STILL they take forever.

I'm genuinely grateful for being awarded the grant. But the whole point of getting it is because you rely on it to survive during college. Now its four weeks til end of term and still no money!

The grants are being paid in February ( 7th ) Its an absolute disgrace, they are the last authority with the exception of Dublin city to have there grants paid.

I finally got my award letter on Monday. I applied at the end of August. SDCC was pretty quick for me in previous years, so I don't know what the hell happened this year.

I'd love to know to know what the government and local authorities think students use grant money for. Because if I was truly dependent on the grant there's no way I'd have been able to survive for the last 4 months.
