I bought it at the release in Dalyer earlier this month if I remember correctly. It's a great read. It features all 47 clubs ever to have played in the LOI

Pic on front is fantastic. Must grab a copy.

I got it a few weeks back and have been dipping in and out of it.
Decent piece of work - it gives plenty of information, anecdotes, history of each club.
Doesn't seem to have any agenda - the writer just seems to be a fan of the LoI in general.
Apart from a few typos I can't fault it.
Great intro to the league - great Christmas pressie.

I've only noticed two and they're not major. Whose instead of who's and its instead of it's.

Good general information, doesn't go into a huge amount of detail though. Would definitely recommend it. the front cover is Dalymount for anyone wondering.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I was at the Galway launch. It's a good read. Always good to have more books about the LOI.

Got it at the Dalyer launch, good book to have on the coffee table, few funny stories and quotes in as well.

That's because you keep re-reading the Shels V Split/Depor/Lille chapter.

He spells Pittodrie wrong twice in the section on Bohs - and it's a different spelling both times!
A petty complaint, I know - just pointing it out because I'm kind of a dick, really.
I haven't read the rest of the book yet.

    ^^ Forever remembered :)

Keep meaning to pick it up, meant to be a launch in MCD but it never happened.

MCD somehow got best away pub, odd considering Pats fans hate the place nowadays.

Why do they hate the place?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but have just finished the book.

I found it very thorough and very well researched. The author really does love the League of Ireland but doesn't get up on a high horse about it. The startling thing for myself to read was the size of the crowds they used to draw in years gone by, shame we can only create that when Liverpool's reserves come over for a pre-season kickabout!

The European runs are amazing and make for fascinating reading. Excellent profiles on all the clubs after their individual chapters with stats and figures. Some decent photographs in the book from years ago. My only complaint is that there are not many pictures of supporters with their displays of colour and witty banners, that's one of my favourite thing about match day!

A great book and a must for any LOI fan or open minded football fan.

Got mine for Christmas, only read parts so far. Very informative and would be a great reference book for anyone new to LOI
