This morning I was at a car boot sale and spotted an old looking stratocaster. Looked in bad shape and I couldn't make out the name on the logo but the guy was only asking 20 euros for it so I took a chance and bought it. I'm a sucker for music gear. One of the main reasons I got it was because it had S.T.C. Made in Japan written on the back of the tremolo so figured it might be a decent guitar. Got it home and it cleaned up really nice. But the writing on the tiny logo is too hard to make out and I was wondering if anyone could help identify it. Took the neck off put it has no markings. Also there are several switches and an input added to the scratchplate and theres a circuit board underneath. Any idea what that may be? Thanks for the help.

my brother posted this elsewhere on the interwebs, any ideas folks?

the extra stuff is 2 pots a headphone sized jack and 2 switches, one has 3 legs and one has 6, the circuit board is home made and someone has routed out for the extra components, the board fits comforably under the pickups, there is also a red and a black wire coming out of the back of the guitar, maybe for a battery.

dont have any pictures of that though, but some can be gotten , theres a LM324 N 8208 ic in the middle of the board, I gather this is an amplifier of some sort,

any help on the guitar is much appreciated, can get any more details as needed

    cheers.

Have no idea, but it's 100% not a fender, that truss rod adjustment at the heel of the neck looks out of place, clashes with the vintage styling of the rest of the guitar (original design 6 point bridge) so that it's neither a "modern" strat or an accurate copy of a vintage model also it's hard to say but if you look at the headstock you can see that the "wing" of the headstock appears to be a different piece of wood, not cut from a single neck blank, again a sign of it begin a budget guitar

looking around online it looks like STC was a parts maker supplying Greco, fernandes, tokai with parts back in the day
