Lube recommendations

    Hey guys,
I'm looking for recommendations on buying lube for anal sex when using condoms. I'm not just looking for a good lube that stays really silky, but is also preferably edible, cos I wanna keep him happy in more ways than one. But I don't wanna buy online, so I also want to know stockists in Dublin.
I gather silicone based lubes are silkiest and don't dry out, but I want one that's digestible, even if it isn't flavoured.

    All responses appreciated.

Can you gimme any advice on water based versus silicone based lubes? The one you mentioned there is water based, but I believe silicone lubes won't dry out the same way and so last longer for longer sessions? What do you think are the pros and cons?

I appreciate there are price differences, but for the sake of it ignore that.

I really appreciate all advice. Thanks in advance.

Not to put too fine a point on it, OP, but all this information is available if you google it. This is a child-friendly site, and giving out too much graphic information on here isn't a good idea.

There is lots of information readily available for the OP if he were to google it, rather than depend on members of the board to do so.

it was the child friendly site that threw me. In that case half of what is in here and this thread should be binned. Strange.

Yeah I understand, I think I was a bit trigger happy on the comment! :o

Baby and crumble, I HAVE googled this already, of course. But the results are pretty overwhelming and difficult to sort through. I joined boards.ie to try and get some direct, friendly advice on this matter.

I wouldn't agree with your comments about the nature of the topic and boards.ie. I find the site so difficult to navigate that I can't imagine anyone unable to form their own opinion on the subject finding this thread. But to each their own.

    Good luck.

Ok, just to clarify here (and right now I'm posting as a poster, not as a mod- see, no bold!) I was having an awful day yesterday and this thread just jumped out at me for some reason so I responded.

I have no idea where the 'child friendly' comment thing came from, so just ignore it. I would delete it but then that just looks dishonest.

Now, mod hat on- so long as all the replies aren't explicit, then we're cool. :)

OP, have a look at these links, they might clarify stuff for you:

    How to choose

    About lube

If you're in Dublin, try Miss Fantasia behind the Green- ask the guys in there, they're always knowledgeable and will be able to help you out.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Ended up buying a Titan Men silicone lube for 30 euros in Miss Fantasia. Works fine, but stain sheets like CRAZY.

Also keeps boyfriends very happy. :)

I'd imagine Maximus would be another good bet for you OP. Water based and it kind of 'absorbs' afterwards. It doesn't taste great though :P
