Need some advice on this. I have been experiencing a consistent but bearable pain on the top of my calf just to the right behind (and slightly lower) than the knee. It does not stop me cycling but being a borderline hypochondriac I do worry :o. I notice it much more post cycle and when I bend the knee or need to crouch down etc.

The forum rules prohibit giving medical advice, see rule 4 in the FAQ's thread. If your calf pain doesn't get improve in a couple of weeks, you're probably better off getting professional medical advice.

Bike setup, saddle height and position etc can cause knee pain / injury if it's not correct, so it would be worth getting that checked as well. Plenty of "bike fitting" threads on here.

Sounds like a pulmonary embolus. Poke it with a kebab skewer and see what happens.

I love the rules on here :p. Are you sure that it's rule number 4 or not a subset of rule 8(a) paragraph 2? ;-) Anyway it might be interesting for me to hear from anyone who has experienced a similar pain. It completely dissappears after a few days off the bike. It's a strain more than a pain.
