HTC Desire same problem every six months

    Anyone any ideas on this as its driving me mad.Every six months my desire goes a bit mental.
    It starts by going blank screen at the end of a call without actually terminating the actual call.I then cant end the call either until the screen comes back on after about 15 seconds.sometimes I rub the screen at the sensor and it might come back on.
    The next problem actually causes me the most hassle.The blue tooth now keeps disconnecting from my car radio even if I turn everything off via airplane mode and turn back on.I have also unpaired the car and paired it up again and it just disconnects again.
    The last time this happened I noticed an update about two weeks later to 2.2 and Im wondering if maybe 2.3 is coming and thats why its acting up.
    I also had to ring HTC the last time and reset everything losing loads of info along the way and I don't want to do this again

    I have a HTC Desire. They're pretty much perfect but I think a few bogey ones slipped through Quality Control. You could have a bogey one. Or, your software might just be acting up.

    I'm not sure what the latest official software version is, but if you see one through HTC Sync, then update and see what happens. Mine has always been flawless but I can't really compare to mine coz I'm on a custom ROM.
