Why not just buy a replacement sky remote they are only about €12-15 euro brand new or cheaper on auction sites and even some of the cheap €2euro stores had them for yup u guessed it €2.

Unless the remote you have has a function for sky boxes which I'd say is unlikely unless its an expensive model then you wont be able to use it to control the Sky box

The sales assistant in DID told me it would work with all sky boxes. Also see below which i found from a desciption of it on the web where its meant to be abel to control a sky box aswell. Bloody gimmick if you ask me:(

On your universal remote control do the following:
    1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program,(SAT,CABLE,etc.), then RELEASE.
    2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button (Magic button, M button) until the LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
    3. ENTER the 4 digit code for your Sky box (1175 for sky + box)
You should receive 2 quick flashes after entering your code.
PRESS the SKY button followed by the power button to test the code.
