    Arsenal v Manchester City
    Chelsea v Liverpool
    Manchester United v Crystal Palace
    Cardiff City v Blackburn Rovers

Handy one for United at first glance :)

Whats Beiber got to do with it???

Looking forward to the Arsenal/Man City match, will be interesting to see what teams each manager plays. Could be a cracker or a match (if arsenal win)

I don't think so, there's usually an open draw for the semis as far as I know

    SuperEagle,
Any idea if Owen Garvan is injured or has he just been dropprd out of the match squads. Have not seen his name on a squad sheet in a while.

I love the hatred towards United because of who they got in a random draw :D

Arsenal/City should be a cracker. I'd imagine Arsene will put out a close to full strength team in an effort to end the trophy drought. Mancini will probably put out a good team too IMO, it's not like he can't rotate a few with the squad he has anyway. If they have an 'easy' game that weekend then he might prioritise the Arsenal match. INTERESTING!! Good draw for the neutrals anyway, 2 good fixtures in the mix.

I really don't think Arsene will prioritise the CC this year; we had our chance last year and it plainly didn't work out and really destroyed the team from there on in.

Ultimately victory in the CC can be quite hollow - financially Birmingham were better off winning the league game against us than the CC one. Great for them to win a trophy [first in 50 odd years I think it was?] but ultimately for a club of our stature its a hollow victory imo.

Ah right so its best not to try to win a trophy just in case it damages morale

Its best to prioritise our competitions to ensure we stay in the ones that generate the most revenue.

Which would you have taken 2 years ago Mike; a 7th and 6th place with a CC victory there somewhere or Champions League football for the last 2 years?

arsenal havent won a trophy for 6 seasons and are in the last 8 of this cup and you dont want to win it.

    Baffling.

Ah BERBA me oul flower, if one had correctly read my post nowhere will you see me say I don't want Arsenal to win it. Of course I do, I want Arsenal to win everything.

But, I did say that in my opinion I think Arsene won't prioritise it [i.e. he won't play a full strength first team but rather a mix of youth team and reserve first team players, as he has generally done] and rightly so - I'd imagine he vests much more importance in the League, Champions League and maybe the FA Cup.

I'm sure most Spurs fans would take Champions League football ahead of winning the domestic league cup. Most.

Now that's a long post so take your time with it before you reply just so you fully understand what I've said.

This link; www.dictionary.com, will be of help to you in that task I imagine.

If your gonna do patronising , at least do it right:P

This sort of thing annoys me. Every top team that gets to cup finals regularly will get there by all manner of means. Some years they get easy draws, some years they get nightmare draws. If you are in the last 4 almost every year, you'll experience every sort of draw.

There is no conspiracy. There is nothing dodgy. Every team has examples of great draws and terrible draws. That's the luck of the draw. Hence the phrase.

Last year Man Utd got on paper a relatively easy draw against West Ham, and ended up being soundly beaten. Games in this competition are unpredictable, I would not write off Crystal Palace they will not make it easy for Utd.

As a Birmingham I would not trade our cup win for staying in the PL, and most Brum fans feel the same way. There is nothing like winning a cup, much better than fighting for mid table in the PL.
