the blackberry line is down causing internet and messages and phonecalls to all be slow or stop them from working all together.. if you bring back the phone with the receipt im sure they'l give you a refund because everyone is bringing them back .

Are you bill or pre pay? Did you get the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) add-on? What network are you with. PS the BlackBerry "line" is working fine

Press the SMS icon press menu and choose options scroll to service centre. Make sure the number is:
    +353857000000
    Exit and save then test.

The OP's email is fine. It's their SMS which is a problem and that doesn't run off BIS.

Do you see the options in the sms menu and can you see Service Centre listed or is it that you cant edit whats there?

    Try this:

    Go to Options and select
    Highlight SMS and select
Highlight Service Centre: and enter either
    +353857000000
    Press the trackpad
Highlight Save and select (press the trackpad).
