Sour Grapes Threads

How many sour grapes threads will people post? Every one opens with a congratulatory message for Michael D but then goes on to blame many things like the media coverage especially overpaid RTE presenters who attacked beloved candidates, they also blame voter apathy as well as voter stupidity and sinister groups with hidden agendas.

What all these threads have in common is they do not blame poor candidates. There were 6 runners up and only 2 of them were any use, it looks like only three of the candidates will be getting their election expenses paid.

Why don't people blame their awful candidates for not winning the election? Why are sinn fein not saying that any murderer is never going to be president so it was a waste of €200000 even getting mcGuinness nominated? Why can't the stealth fianna failed brigade see the folly in forwarding someone like Gallagher? What were Dana and Davis even thinking?

As for Norris and Mitchell well god loves a tryer but hates chancers.

Don't think SF will see it as a waste, McGuinness finished 3rd and beat the FG candidate, FF weren't even able to run a candidate and it further legitmises the party

FF ran at LEAST one candidate.

Not one they could officially back as a party, look at the mess they made of chasing Gay Byrne and their meeting about running a candidate (O'Cuiv threatning to resign  ). This was while Gallagher and I presume you mean Davis were already in the campaign, who ran as independents.
