Anyone know what the vehicles were responding to today, I saw a 4x4 or some kind of jeep racing down the mainstreet, i was down on Florence road so it took me a good two minutes to the main street and then about another two minutes later a first engine came by and then another a minute or so later.

I know the Emergency services respond rapidly to save lives and all I just don't think Ive ever seen them fly by so fast.

Anyone know what was going on

    A fire perhaps?

    Hilarious :)

Good answer even if a tad smart, Ive been interested in the Fire Brigade for years and have never seen them in such a panic to get somewhere though

I don't know wot incident they were responding to, but, in general, Fire Crews would expedite their arrival to an incident depending on the perceived threat.

What I mean by that is a driver would work flat out to get to a domestic fire with persons reported. Give it the proverbial 100%. A turnout to a car fire or skip on fire would get a much more relaxed drive.

That happens at least once a week. Bloody loud.
