    Hi Guys

    I own a 2006 Honda Accord Estate 2.2.

Ive had it for 2 years now and before my last tyre change I had lots of vibration coming from the passenger side rear wheel. When I did get the tyres changed the tyre on that side seemed to be worn unevenly like a continuous S shape on the inside.

Got a new set along with tracking etc, seemed to ease the vibration but not completely. Now a few months later its getting worse and the tyre seems to be doing the same again.

Oh the vibration is at its worse when you accelerate from 30mph +

It hasnt been in a smash AFAIK.

    Any Ideas?

Nah I changed the wheel to another rim and still the same.

Put a jack under the car and spin the tyres one by one and you will be easily able to spot a buckled wheel if thats the case.

I wonder if all the wheels are balanced right?

Ask in a tyre fitters. Cost me €5 per tyre when I was getting mine balanced along with getting fitted. I had vibrations with mine at 120+ but when I got 4 new tyres, I had them all balanced when fitted, no probs any more since.

Are there chunks missing from the tyres?

My guess would be a shot shock absorber at that corner

No chunks gone and all wheels balanced, tracked etc

    This.

I've noticed it quiet often on Fiat 500's for some reason

Get somebody to put the car up on a hoist and examin the suspension. Uneven wear on the inside of a tyre usually points to a worn suspension component, maybe a bushing.

Doesn't sound at all like a shock, bushing or arm maybe, not a shock though.

Was thinking that but no mention of any noise or rumbling from the op, twould want to be fairly worn to be vibrating that much, would be a savage rumble off it I'd say.

No noise, it gets really bad and I mean really bad when you accelerate then eases off.

I was reading on another site based in the US that when you accelerate more pressure is put on the back of the car as the front rises casing wear on parts...true i suppose it sounds right but what parts???

You need to bring the car to a garage really :)

The US Honda Accord shares almost no parts with the European Accord so I would treat that with a pinch of salt.

You need to get the car looked at, we will be speculating all day.
