Who cares. Are you going to make a judgement on him on the basis of his religion?

He is a catholic and a mass goer from his interview on the last word. Can't remember exact details because I don't care about that kind of thing :)

Pretty sure he said in the Miriam O Callaghan debate that he was a Catholic (the candidates were asked if they objected to the mention of God in the oath).

In an interview (granted I can't remember which one) he said he believes in god but does not believe in pushing his beliefs onto others

Are you sure about that? That's not the impression I get.

Yep, I heard that one. I've a feeling he's not much of a believer, but felt he had to allude to being one to get electable. Either way I've no doubt that he'll be extremely inclusive.

He said he was in favour of keeping the Angelus.

    He's "a spiritual person"

which probably means that he leans towards agnosticism

the only real question is how will he be buried/cremated

Who cares? He can identify with people from all faiths and none.

Because many people who describe themselves as atheists end up having a religious funeral, only the real committed atheists make it known that they don't want any religious element to it.
