Team news; Everton captain Phil Neville will not face his former club after coming off with a hamstring pull against Chelsea in their Carling Cup loss this week.

Tim Cahill also misses out with injury, while in-form on-loan midfielder Royston Drenthe is suspended.

United winger Ashley Young is a doubt with a toe injury, but could yet play.

But Nemanja Vidic and Tom Cleverley are both in contention after playing against Aldershot in the Carling Cup, and striker Wayne Rooney should return.

    United team prediction;

    de Gea

    Jones
    Smalling
    Vidic
    Fabio

    Nani
    Carrick
    Cleverley
    Park

    Rooney

    Hernandez

Last edited by T4TF, probably not!

With Cahill, Neville and Drenthe out plus having played 120 minutes on Wednesday, with most of United's key players rested on Tuesday, can see United getting their season back on track in this one.

Everton to win 6-1 is 500/1 with Paddy Power.

    €2 on that. :)

    never gonna happen

EDIT: Can see Man United romping Everton.

Technically that's referencing the City game no?!

This isn't on the box is it?

Also, Drenthe is suspended for Everton which is a big blow.

After the hammering Utd took last week, they will be out for revenge this weekend. Drenthe is a huge loss though. Pity its not on the TV.

It's harmless banter imo. What am I to do? Pretend it didn't happen?

    Meh, poor effort.

Hoping for a win. Everton away is always tricky.

Well like, you can't ignore form can you?

I think Everton should win this one because Man Utd lost their last game 6-1 and Everton did not lose 6-1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

Everton lost 2-0 to City so should on that basis win 4-1 :)

I'm going with a 1-1 draw in this game tomorrow

My point is if TFTF has put in that warning it'd be hard to monitor if people can just claim 'banter'!

We beat the mighty Aldershot 3-0 in our last game. Everton lost their last game 2-1 against 10 men AET.

It's not being shown on UK or Irish TV, a host of foreign channels will be broadcasting it live so there will be plenty of steams available.

    A list of the channels broadcasting it;

ESPN Deportes, Bwin Video, ESPN 2 Caribbean,
    ESPN Venezuela, Abu Dhabi Sports,
ESPN Latin America North, ESPN Latin America South,
    ESPN Latin America Andina,
    Sport.TV2, Sky Sport 2 Germany, SuperSport 7

Hooliganism at Everton valley after a game in 2005, there was a few hundred involved.

Kick offs for this fixture have been at 12.45 or 12.00 on Saturday ever since.

It's on in Murrays anyways. Man U to bounce back from last week I'm afraid. I think Everton have Drenthe and Cahill out. Pity.

Except the 5pm FA cup game a few years later...

Everton will be lucky to score. United to win to nil.

Everton is always a tough fixture, regardless of any hammering Utd have received before hand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,398 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Tight game for most of it, then Everton to roll over and gift United the points as usual.

As usual? Last season they hit us for two in the dying moments of the game so it was a draw. The season before that, they beat us 3-1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,466 ✭✭✭tim_holsters

Least there should be a decent atmosphere it's most always pretty good at Goodison.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,883 ✭✭✭smokedeels

I feel there's a growing case for Berbatov to start, or at least get 30 minutes +. For all their pace Chica and Welbeck aren't very creative and give the ball away too much, I think we could have done with a player of the Bulgarian's ilk in the last three league games.

the advantage of selling them players I suppose. The few notes in their back pockets help too.

With Neville out that means that Howard will make the clanger this week. I'm going with United to comfortably win 3-0
