What colour tights/shoes with navy+gold dress?

    I'm slightly confused as to what to wear with a dress I recently got. The top part of it is a yellowy/gold colour and the skirt part of it is navy. Can't find a pic of it online! I want to know what colour tights and shoes should I wear with it?? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks! :)

    I wore a navy maxi dress with gold detail to a wedding recently and bought plum shoes/bag/shrug to to with it. It worked really well I think! Obviously didn't need tights though, and I'm not sure if plum tights would work. Depends on the style of the dress really :)

    I think navy tights would be nice with it and neutral shoes?? Hard to know with no pic!!

    The first colour that came to mind was wine. Guess it would depend on what the gold is like.
