no if you buy 36/60 etc you'll still get the 25% just so long as it's in multiples of 6 i think :)

No, it says "6 or more bottles" so you can buy 7 bottles and still get the 25% off.

Pity the discount doesnt seem to work online, I had thirty bottles (hic!) ready to order but no discount at the credit card entry checkout so i didn't pull the trigger. Oh well, guess I'll have to do it the hard way!

    That's utter muck.

    /quietly fill trolley with Faustino

Picked up half a dozen of these last Christmas for the same price. Drank the last one a couple of weeks ago. Time to stock up again

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

And here's another tip: it works on the Tesco meal deal wine too

So you buy a €6 starter, a €4 desert, a €3 side dish and a €14 bottle of wine for a total of €27 €12 and you still get the €3.50 off the €14 bottle of wine and you pay €8.50 for the lot :D

Got a good few Wolf Blass Eagle Hawk Cab Sauv for €4.50 a bottle. Nice price!

    Edit: didn't spot the Faustino I / V - savage prices :(

Tesco in Nutgrove today was manic.
You'd think they were giving it away there were so many people in there stacking up their trollies.

I like the 25% off but I don't like having to buy six bottles at a time.

Don't mean to sound rude here, but no one is forcing you too buy six. If you just want one bottle just buy one bottle. Your saving yourself money, by not paying extra for bottles you don't need. On the other hand if you know you will drink them then no harm bulk buying.

Yep Tesco runs till 13th or when stocks run out by the looks of some of the shopping trollys recently ;).
Dunnes have 25% back on your Valuecard when you buy 6 or more Wine & Champagne - ends 4th Dec.
Not as good as Tesco but might suit some people.
Wonder how the likes of O'Briens can survive with promotions like these?

Tried to get 6 bottles on tesco online, it wasnt passing on the 25% discount, i tried it with 6 bottles and then with 7, still not giving the dicount. Is t not available for ordering online with delivery?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭angeldelight

Tattinger champagne normally retails at 59.99 per bottle - currently on offer at 25 euro per bottle. 6 bottles with the 25% off for 112.50! Great bargain - am getting married next year and will be nice to have few bottles in the house to toast the big occasion. It's a bubbly I find particularly nice anyway so even better! :D

Yep, they deduct the 25% at delivery, you'll see it on the invoice. Just got a bottle of Taittinger and 6 Pinot Grigio for €39.73 (€10 off for my first order), plus I went through Fatcheese.ie so I should have another tenner back in a few weeks, bringing the total down to €29.75. Every little helps... ;)

Sure O'Briens run their own promotions. They're selling Marques de Riscal Rioja for 14.99 which is cheaper than Tesco even after you apply the 25% off, plus you don't have to buy 6 bottles. It's the specialist wine shops that must be suffering.

Can they be mixed? As in 3 wine and 3 champers?
