Here are the specs of one i may be getting :

    Inspiron 15R

    i3-2310M processor 2.10 GHz
    Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit
    4GB2 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
    500GB3 SATA hard drive (7200RPM)
1 GB nVidia GeForce GT 525M

    15.6" (40 cm) High Definition (1366X768) WLED with True-Life

    The price... 579€

The graphics card may not be the best but it's able to run some games at medium - high settings with smooth FPS.

Sound good or should I look onto something else?

    Yeh doesn't seen too unreasonable

This acer is comparable tho.. More RAM, bigger HD and gt540 for about 10 euro more.

Acer build quality is muck, imo.

I'd look at an i5 2xxx at least.

    Folks,

Is there much of a performance difference on the following CPU and Graphics options

    2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5-2430M processor (2.40 GHz, 3M cache)

    versus

    2nd generation Intel® Core™ i3-2310M processor 2.10 GHz

    Intel HD Graphics 3000

    versus

1 GB nVidia GeForce GT 525M

Would be looking/hope to play modern games with the settings reduced to improve performance.

    Any thoughts welcome
