hi , don't know if this is the right place to ask but anyway.... I am applying for a job, one of the requirements is a full clean driving licence. Unfortunately I have 2 points on my licence. What I am wondering is there any way of the company actually checking to see if my licence is clean or not?

Under data protection laws, (AFAIK) they would not have the right to request that info from the RSA. However, they could demand that you provide it to them (for insurance reasons).

AFAIK if you don't have any endorsments it's clean.

If it's points then you can get them from the RSA (IIRC).
Endorsements, as CiniO has pointed out, would be stamped onto the licence itself.

Job requirements actually states "full clear driving licence", so I'd imagine they are on about points. Sorry for the confusion.

Points aren't put on your licence per se as they are stored digitally but the recruiting company may mean points &/or any endorsements.

    No they are not.
Full clean driving licence means licence with no endorsements.

But they actually stated "Clear" not "Clean".I got the wording wrong in my original post. Do ye reckon they are on about points in this case?

I'm not going to answer on behalf of the recruiting company. Only they really know.
