Come on, I expect it from Tina Leonard but today on the mooney show they had an "expert" on from the department and he didnt know anything about free to air sat, Gay Byrne didnt know fùck all either and Mooney thought aerials would be a thing of the past, Why are things like this in this country with only 365 days to go? I remember back in 2004 this being explained correctly in the uk on the bbc and talksport radio

    I couldnt agree more.
Byrne actually seemed to know more than the other so-called expert at one point.

God help poor soul who is at the mercy of any unscrupulous retailers/installers with this one.

In fairness they did get the message across that there are no official Saorview people out doing door to door which is important for vulnerable people living in remote parts of the country but that stupid tosser Mooney should keep his mouth shut when there's technical stuff being discussed.

For the benefit of people who weren't listening, someone asked about aerials whereupon Mooney dived in head first and declared that you wouldn't need an aerial for Saorview, what a plonker!

With "experts" like these advising the government, it's not hard to see why we ended up with such an abortion of a service:(

In fairness, he does know quite a lot about nature, wildlife and Eurovision.

Wasn't the worst presentation I've ever heard. Some of the confusion was down to not actually understanding the specific questions they were asked.

He's fond of the wildlife alright and knows about nature and suchlike.
I wouldnt say he actually "knows" much about the eurovision.

But I do enjoy his enthusiasm every year for the national and euro song contest.
