People voted Fianna Fail in '07. They then criticised them heavily and got them out in February. Over the last few weeks then a big swell of support has gotten behind Sean Gallagher. It really is crazy and unbelievable in my eyes.

From the first night Gallagher talked on the Late Late about his intentions, I saw him as a one trick pony. When his Fianna Fail links then first started becoming public knowledge, you could just see what was going to happen. Will this country ever learn?

I'm close to tears, were a disgrace. Time to move as it's only going to get worse.
I think there should be €10 in every garda station for every head of a sean gallager supporter you bring in, much like they used to do with foxes until the problem was solved.

Gallagher should retire from the race after last night. He has been caught out for what he really is, corrupt

It would give some of the retired IRA shower a source of income. I wonder how many will be found guilty of supporting Gallagher after a Kangaroo court followed by a summary execution.

This kind of thinking is beyond retarded tbh.

What decisions did Gallagher make to put this country where it is? Oh wait, none.

Fully agree with you,,we must be the most gullable nation in the world,,,Gallagher is as much as a FFer as Bertie was,its like the old saying,if you get codded once its the culprits fault,if you get codded twice (by the same people)its your fault....I honestly dont think we as a race have the intelligence to realise that we are been hoodwinked AGAIN by the same clowns,,,This whole Presidency campaign has made a mockery of the Office of President,,
Like what in the name of Jesus is Gallagher as President gonna do for the economy as regards jpb creation,as far as im aware the president dosnt have any imput into running the country on a day today basis (correct me if im wrong). It seems to me its just Gallaghers way of trying to convince people to vote for him under the guise of that he is gonna do this that and the other,,and it seems to be working for him,,,,To me the Presidency at this stage is only a Status/Ceremonial post (granted ones thats needed in certain circumstances)but has Naff all to do with running the country..My prediction is that SG will win and that will be the last we see or hear from him,,apart from showing up at Croke Park for the big matches.....IMO

if you don't like Gallagher that your opinion, good for you having one.
But try to remember that there are other people in this country that just might have a different opinion,
that not a bad thing that the whole idea of Democracy.
And your opinion is no more important but no more important than mine or the next person who post.
If your respect the idea of democracy them you'll have the respect there opinion.

the whole political system in this country is a farce

as for the presidential elections, its just a joke and absolutely laughable at this stage ,

each candidate are just conjuring up smeer about each of the other candidates , so as far as I can see the least smeered candidate will win rather than the best candidate ,

all current candidates are a mix of liars , schemer's , murderer's, , hasbeens and money grabbers' all looking for the easy life for the next 7 years ,

Everyone on the country should spoli their vote , but we know what this country is like when it comes to voting ,
    same sh1te different election

Of course everyone is entitled to his/her opinion...But people can be disillusion as well at the same time, and its also possible for one or other of the people to be wrong.....and in this case in my opinion the people that vote for SG would be wrong

A person can respect democracy, I like many do...

...but it dosen't mean we have to respect FF or their voters.

They broke this country or does everyone need reminding so soon.

If I took the envelope the cheque INSIDE it was payable to Fianna Fáil and NOT to me, and I delivered it to HQ. If it was in a envelope, I don't know if it was brown or white.

I know the cheque was for €5,00 because all the others were ....

Then a quite spoken voice said: that sounds like an admission to me.

:) Gallagher is off my list.

I respect the idea of democracy, but no, that doesn't mean I should respect opinions held by people who I firmly believe don't know what they're talking about. Like let's say someone has the opinion that black people shouldn't have the right to own property. Or someone who thinks that Fianna Fail are a party that has not choked the life out of the country through their own greed corruption and stupidity. I don't have to respect those opinions. I think it's stupid, and I think less of the person espousing the opinion for having it, because it speaks about their lack of knowledge or understanding of the world.

Generarations of Irish fought so you could have a vote.

I agree that that the selection of candidates is far from inspirational but at least try to find something good about one of them.

That's not fianna failer Gallagher by the way

I'm sorry, but where did anyone suggest otherwise? You've just come on here, read an opinion you didn't agree with and then spouted off with the above. The irony is that you're guilty of the same crime you have wrongly accused others of committing and you can't see it.

No-one suggested your opinion was less important than anyone elses, no-one has trampled on your rights so would you mind chilling out and relaxing?

There ya go, good man, now doesn't that feel better?
