Hey everyone. I am pretty happy with my body overall. I'm 26 female, 5'3 and about 8 stone 12/13. I exercise regularly doing a mix of cardio and weights. I am just interested in finding out from those in the know is it possible to lose weight from a specific area. My hips look to me, to be totally out of proportion of the rest of my body. Maybe it is because I have a very small waist and curvy hips but if there was any exercises or anything I could do to lose a few inches off my hips I would be delighted. It's the one part of my body I would love to change and would interested to know if it is possible to do this.

As long as the frame size is correct and the angles are proportioned to your limbs you will achieve the body you are naturally supposed to have, and it makes your ass look fit.:D

when I give up the gargle I know that my belly will reduce in size - its guaranteed because of the starting place, so I would say yes :D

I feel your pain, or well I used to, but what can ya do, just be happy with a small waist, and the big pluses are that you are fit & healthy :D.

I have a 13 inch difference of my waist (at the narrowest part) and hips (at the widest part). Even when I was skinny the porportion was kind of like that. I'm semi concentrating on adding some shape to my legs though, at least I can work with that. Finding clothes is difficult for me too.

I vaguely remember reading a study that said it is possible to burn fat in the body area exercised but that it is so minimal that it would not be a productive activity for energy expended.
This may or not have been true and I may have been drunk at the time of reading.

Maybe I was drunk too;), but thought I also remember reading that estrogen will help to pack some fat on the hips.
