Settings on Sky Plus Set Top Box

For example, I like having my picture settings at 16:9 and the Background Music sound setting to Off. However, after a while these settings return to "4:3" and "On" respectively. This happens even without the set top box being switched off or the power being switched off.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to keep my preferred settings saved?
