Final Results from the News Talk poll after the debate today which you can see here.

    Dana R Scallon (2%)
    Mary Davis (3%)
    Gay Mitchell (6%)
    David Norris (11%)
    Sean Gallagher (20%)
    Martin McGuinness (20%)
    Michael D Higgins (38%)

Only watched the first question so far but going by it this poll it's still slightly wrong.

That poll looks like a real sham  the 1st three places are not even close to the placings in the 'official polls' taken over the last ten days, which all show Sean Gallagher & Michael D Higgins streets ahead of the field . . . .

That poll is correct. It is not a poll like the red c poll, it is a poll on who people thought won the Newstalk/Google debate. So 38% of people thought Michael D won the debate and Seanie G and Martin were tied second at 20% on people who thought won the debate.

The poll is unrepresentative, because more than 50% of the votes come from Dublin according to the website (around 253 out of 476 when I voted on it this afternoon). Dublin has 25% of the electorate, and leftwing parties (especially Labour) are historically very strong there relative to the rest of the country. Over half of Labour TDs are in Dublin constituencies.

Newstalk began as a Dublin-based local radio station so that plays a part in this because of the historical brand loyalty.
