    My 2005 civic got the same job done and it cost 800 euro, most will do it but dealers usually cost more.

    :eek::eek::eek: Mind boggling!

    We'd be charging €350 for a standard engined civic normally.

    The problem is that cost price parts and mates rates are not relevant to general members of the public looking for how much they should be spending to have it done in a professional garage.

    I'd usually do a timing belt on something like a civic for €100 labour if doing it myself at home but then I don't have to pay rent, electricity, wages etc etc

    Tell of about it. The Honda dealer done it and as I hadn't a clue about how much it should cost, my own fault.

    Bloody hell. You'd get a new engine for that.

    €800 is ridiculous! Clearly robbed.

    I think my mechanic done my Timing Belt, tensioner, water pump and Aux. belt for €320

    That's a lot of cash! Was there any additional parts/work done?
