    I have received quite a few emails about applying for the MSc in Occupational Therapy in U.L so here are my thoughts-
    Basically get as much experience shadowing OTs as you can. They advise two sessions in two different areas. Contact your local hospital or wherever OTs work near you. Rehabilitation centres, hospitals, centres for adults or children with learning difficulties might help. Write them with your CV requesting an opportunity to shadow for the purpose of meeting the requirements of a postgraduate course. They are usually used to this and happy to help.
    As for prior experience, this is a tough one. Clearly some kind of support work or caring professional experience is important however your unique experience of life ( did you have experience with OT as a child/did you care for a relative/did you do voluntary work/your personal interests) is just as important. What you think is irrelevant can be viewed as valuable to the interviewer because what you bring to the table is totally unique.
    Get help with writing your cover letter and cv, this is the only point of contact they will have with you before the interview so it pays to get that perfect. If there is someone in your life that can help you with that ask them!
