Possibly Silly Q - PRSI (part-timer)

    Hi guys,

Just a little query. We have a small business operated as a sole trader. So far easy enough - do the returns every year. I employ one person full time and do the returns for prsi etc but lately i have taken on a second person part-time.
This second person has his own business (unrelated to mine) and is also self-employed. My question is how do I treat him for PAYE & PRSI?
He only does a few hours a week amounting to around €100 pw. I hope this is simple and ye can help me, thanks in advance

It's possible to be both self employed, and be an employed person at the same time.

If the person is an actual employee (not a contractor), the usual rules as regards PAYE and PRSI will apply.

Treat as normal PAYE workers, but adjust tax credit accordingly
