Using iPhone as flash drive

I am in college and have an ordinary USB Key, but I find that I am always forgetting it so it would be much handier if I could just use my iPhone. It's a 3GS and not jailbroken, don't really want to jailbreak it either because it's factory unlocked. So guys any ideas. I will be using it for mostly MS Word files and the odd PDF.
