Long story short I'm moving to Barca in January for 7 months

Was wondering is there any rugby clubs that would let me train with them to keep myself fit for the 12/13 season

    Play J1 myself

I know it's a long shot but someone might see this!

I'm sure you could find somewhere.

The main club in barcelona seems to be FC Barcelona Rugby maybe ask them

    Hola! ;)

As some guys told you, 2 good options could be FC Barcelona (their pitches are in the north, with a Metro station really close) or Santboiana (their pitches are in Sant Boi de Llobregat, a town close to Barcelona, easy to arrive by train).
Both of them have several squads, one playing Division de Honor (first national league) and their B, C (second, third) teams playing at second league/regional area leagues.

In case you want to check more options, you could take a look to the clubs list on the website of the Federacio Catalana de Rugby (the equivalent to www.leinsterrugby.ie in Catalunya, being www.ferugby.com the equivalent to www.irishrugby.ie). They have a list of clubs split by areas (Barcelones is your area!).

I'm pretty sure that any club there will be happy about having a new Irish player, so once you arrive to Barcelona take a look to the clubs training hours and just go to their pitch with your rugby gear. Even if we Spanish are not famous by our foreign languages knowledge you can be sure that somebody in the squad will be able to have a chat with you in English.

Feel free to send me a private message in case you need any help or have any doubts about your relocation to Spain.

Good luck mate! You will enjoy that, no doubts, Barcelona is amazing.
