Commercial van taxing issue

I'm planning on getting a small van for work shortly. I'm an electrician but I don't work for myself so I'm a PAYE worker. I know I have to fill in a RF111A form to declare that the vehicle will only be used for work purposes, which is fine as I also have a car. My question is that the form requires my income tax registration number so do I just fill this in with my PPS number? I took a look at the long thread about new rules for taxing vans but didn't find an answer.

Yeah, pps no does. Whether you get it or not depends on your co council. Some look for proof of eligibility for comm tax such as tax reg certs etc, others don't.

you might have to jump through hoops but if its for commercial purposes then you are entitled to commercial tax on it. Not supposed to use it for anything else though and you'll probably have to declare that you won't.

Gardai signed the form no problem. In the tax office she asked if my PPS number was my registered vat number. I just said yes and it was processed no problem.
