3G Watchdog Pro will tell you exactly what's been using your data.

Money well spent if it stops you going over your data.

Is this reading at least 1 day after buying it? E.G. If you've been using 3G during the day + then install 3GWD, it'll only show usage from the point you start using it (so if you've already used 5MB before installing it, then use 5MB, it'll only show 5MB, not 10MB).
It'll also change depending on how the network measures data (like if you're counted for DL only, Watchdog tracks the whole lot, at least on free version. This is mentioned in the app).

My Data Manager Free shows what data each app has used, and shows it all in a pie chart as well, for clarity.

Don't forget, networks charge for data traffic, not just downloads. Uploads count towards the data total as well.
