Windows media player script error

Ive started getting error messages when I try to find album info in windows media player. This only started in the last week or so, it was working fine before that. The error comes up when I click finish when I find the info. It asks do you want to continue running script on this page and when i click yes or no nothing happens. The error says (The value of the property 'bntFinish_onclick' is null or undefined, not a Function object.)

Any ideas how to fix this?

WMP uses Internet Explorer for this possibly so try deleting your Internet History in IE, Go to Tools>Internet Options in IE and clear all history, temporary files etc. Look in WMP aswell for cache options to delete. Is it the latest WMP? Some older versions may not handle the web components properly

I wonder: What would happen if one didnt have IE,would WMP then use whatever browser engine you had??

Windows is built around Internet Explorer, so it wouldn't be possible to use Windows without IE, Windows Explorer uses the IE engine in previous Windows, I think this changed in Vista/7.
I would imagine if you somehow disabled Internet Explorers rendering engine then many apps would fail to work, allot of .NET oriented apps also need the IE engine if they have Internet functionality, its just easier for devs to use built in APIs!
