I have 5-5.5k cash and want a new car. What sort of discount on the prices on carzone can i expect?

    Example : 2004 Accord 2.4 type s €5950

    or

    Lexus GS300 €6950

I'm not stuck on either of these (but i like the Lexus)

Can I get these prices down for cash? Or what am i looking at. I want a comfortable car, I do 14k per year and need it for 2 adults 2 small kids and an infant.

I was offered a 2006 Peugeot 406 SW from a dealer for €6k when he had it advertised at €8,500 in March and I was offered an 04 LS430 for €7k when it was listed at €10,950 last month. These were the dealers initial offers when I expressed interest in the cars, so I am sure I could have gotten them for less.

I reckon big engined cars like the GS300 will be a lot cheaper than advertised.

Either of the car I'd bring a hammer with me to help beat down the price :P

Out of interest, do you have a link to the ad for the Lexus?

Bought an IS250 3 months ago and the dealer had just dropped the price from €11,950 to €9,950. I would have gotten more if I wasn't trading in. So you should knock quite a bit off those!
