    Hi!

I'm trying to work out the cost of installing a geothermal heat pump for a college assignments that's worth 40% of a subject but i'm just managing to confuse my self. So i was hoping for some advice

Ok so 1st of does it sound reasonable that a family home with 3 people living in it would have a yearly thermal need of 57MWhr that's for all heating and water heating.

Secondly how much is a unit of electricity cost with esb...i cant find it anywhere on there site! Although i might just be being blind.

Ok then i've read you need piping rouughly twice the area of your house which is grand wound mean i'd need roughly 225m2 but no where can i find the cost of hdpe piping so if any one has any clues would be great

another issue is the depth...i was planning 1.2 meters to get roughly 10degrees temp...does this sound ok? Once again costing this digging is a nightmare.

And lastly but probably most importantly...what size heat pump would i need...I've heard so many different arguements on how to size them I'm just really confused.

Thanks for this and any help on any or all the questions would really be appreciated :D
