Hi, my son wants a bmx bike from Santa, (in his words he wants a "stunt" bike) and I'm looking for some advice on what to get:) . Budget would be up to €200. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to bikes so any pointers would be great. These are a few that I have been looking at
    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/3322699.htm , http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002LISESY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE , http://www.amazon.co.uk/Redemption-Mag-Wheel-Boys-Bike/dp/B004H0H6RO/ref=sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1319365764&sr=1-1 . Are they all rubbish?

A BMX at that price is likely to be rubbish unfortunatley. Another thing to keep in mind is that shops are a bit loose in their age brackets for these bikes. A 8 year old can sit on the bike and support it, but because they are designed for older kids, mainly teens , the bike is ALOT longer than a normal 20" wheel bike, as a result the child cant control the bike or reach the brake levers.

If you do want a BMX avoid plastic brake levers and pedals, also avoid a 1 piece crank and try get one with a gyro, the gyro allows the front to spin through 360 and not get the cables caught up and ripped out of the brakes, which is very common with 8 year olds and "stunt" bikes.

    Hi,
I am in the same situation for my 7 year old, he loves riding over ramps and the bike he has is starting to fall apart.. I thought i would need something with some kind of suspension?
How did you get on in your search? I have only started....
