I had a look there on Komplett, Dabs, Pixmania and can't better the Lenovos.

There's very little in between the graphics Cards, here and here.

If you don't want the BLU-RAY then I'd get the i5.

Apologies for yet another laptop recommendation thread - I'm looking for a machine for general use,web browsing, music, watching some movies etc..would also be playing some games on it,games such as Civ and older games though mostly. My budget would be about the €500 mark (could go a little higher though), and I had my eye on two Lenovo models:

I'm thinking the B570 looks a lot better for the same price? If not Lenovo, then perhaps this Samsung:

Hi OP. I have the Lenovo g570 with core i5 and 6gbs of RAM ,650 gb hd. It's £479 on amazon right now.

It's a nice laptop. My only issue with it is that the webcam is poor and the integrated mic is such atrocious quality that it's unusable. You can always use an external cam and mic though.Otherwise it seems to be good. The winrar benchmark test thingy gets around 2400 which I hear is good enough.

Thanks guys. I went ahead and ordered the B570 which is on it's way to me already so here's hoping there'll be no problems with it.

Just by way of follow-up,the laptop is supposed to be delivered by DPD on Wednesday, and that I should be at home for it.Was hoping I wouldn't need to take time off-does anyone know what DPD policy on deliveries is if you aren't home?I live near their Naas depot so picking it up isn't an issue.

You'll probably have to ring them to know for sure but try asking in Online Buying Forum...
