Hi everyone. I was just wondering. Is there a database of some sort where you could find out if an iPhone, or any gadget/thing is stolen?

If you are in the market for purchasing a used iphone and are suspicious of its history, just call customer service on any of the irish networks and give them the imei of the phone in question. They will tell you if it is blacklisted ( useless on any irish network unless you have the unlocking PIN ). If it is not, then you should be ok.

If the above does not interest you, then you might know a member of the garda. There is no public DB for accessing the information you are referring to AFAIK
