Hi all I have a HTC desire hd, I want to root it to get rid of all the vodafone crap. Which 3rd party ROM is the nearest to existing htc format, I don't need anything with bells and whistles, just a simple clean system, I would appreciate any advice or recommendations.
    TIA Triskell

Android Revolution, RCMix3D and LeeDroid HD are all excellent ROMs, and all have HTC Sense.

Honeymiui is brilliant. Cyanogen is good aswell. All the ones mrE mentioned are very good aswell.
Freshly squeezed miui would probably be my favourite. Some Irish chap made it so its cool haha.

Once you have rooted you can get rid of the bloatware, you don't have to put on a custom rom if you're happy with Sense
