Change default visual studio command prompt directory

    Hi, how do you change the default directory for the visual studio command prompt,? I'm using ms visual studio 2010 pro for c++.

    right click the command prompt icon and select properties
    Change the start in parameter to your folder of choice

    In addition to amen's post, you can also manually update the batch file yourself to do other stuff if you need to. Mine is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\vcvarsall.bat. Your location may vary depending on where VS is installed.
