I have a degree in maths and was thinking of doing the hibernia course to allow me to teach.
Firstly has anyone any knowledge on the interview and how hard is it to gain entry for the course?
Secondly are teachers with this qualification put to the bottom of the pile when it comes to selection for a teaching position?( I've heard the primary version is frowned on)
    Thanks for reading

I have heard that too, and it wouldn't surprise me, but I think it is a select few and that's because Hibernia's work placement is in blocks and the college 'brand' isn't was well established.

However, There are 170 doing the secondary school teaching with them this semester and there is a new group of teachers being accepted early next year.

And I've heard that the dip is becomming two years soon enough, that's one of the reasons I made up my mind to do the hibernia this year :)

    Hope that helps :)
