Sony 40" for 299 are/were in Tesco

On the 14th October poster Jarvis told us that there were going to be TV Bargains soon in Tesco: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056420859&page=1 After a lot of interest and no sign of the TVs showing up in the stores the post was "expired". Well today this TV showed up in Tesco Tramore SONY 40S5500…

Well today this TV showed up in Tesco Tramore
SONY 40S5500 40"FULL HD LCD TV WITH FREEVIEW 299

There was another one there for €349.

Unfortunately both are now sold out ... but it may be well worth keeping an eye in your local Tesco to see if they have emerged. As of now there are none in Ardkeen or Ballybeg (Waterford).

I just missed one in Tramore by 5 minutes this evening. I'm raging about it because I was in the store 3 hours earlier and had to leave to collect my son after waiting half an hour for a electricals dept. rep to show up.
From speaking to the customer service desk they appear to have had several of each of those TVs.

Anyways Jarvis was right - these are out there.

Well I highly doubt he went out last night after reading this and spent nearly €6,000 on TVs in Tesco.

But if he did, fair play to him I say! Early bird catches the worm!

Nothing in either Dundalk store as of this morning...didn't look to be much change of TV stock since last week when the alert was first posted.
The S series isn't great either according to reviews...if you spot the V or W, even in a smaller size at the prices that were on the list in the other thread, then snap it up...
