Over 75's travel insurance

    My parents (aged 76 and 71) are heading to NZ for six weeks starting in November and are having difficulty getting travel insurance. They both have private health insurance with Quinn Healthcare which covers them for health issues abroad but none of the mainstream operators seem able to offer a six week duration travel policy to people over 75.

    Anyone have this problem and know how to sort it?

    Ring Quinn and see do they do Travel Insurance, My parents recently got travel insurance through their healthcare for about 100 euro ( i think it may have been qiinn but Im not sure)

    Try www.aaireland.ie I know people in their 80's who got single trip travel insurance from them to travel to the US this year for three weeks.
    Over a certain age (maybe 70 or 75??) they double the premium. Just read the conditions carefully. You can get a quick quote and purchase online. IIRC you do need to call them if you want existing medical conditions covered.

    You can try Globelink.co.uk travel insurance. This company provides cover for people aged to 84 years. I used them for covering my parents.
