    Ooooh V8 :D

It'll be 13.3% VRT I believe. If they turn you down for commercial road tax it will be over €1200 private :D

im vat registered so I should be ok here. My only concern is they'd refuse to register this type of landie.

so long as all the numbers match up to the paperwork it should be ok.

Yep, no reason to refuse as long as the paperwork is in order. Revenue may struggle with a statistical code as the computer will say no but that's their problem.

Hope you go for it, not enough V8s here, too many smelly rattly diesels! ;)

Looks like a nice one (if your in to that sort of thing:rolleyes:)
Might want to get rid of the old limey flag off the back though for sake of the rest of the paintwork

If its registered as a commercial and looks like one, €200 VRT should apply.

You're wrong on that, since Jan this year it's 13.3% for the majority of jeeps and car derived vans. Even a 130 crew cab is 13.3%

I used the Revenue's calculator for a 1990 110V8 and the VRT is €299, comes out the same for a Diesel 90. Whatever the value, the minimum VRT is €125 so you could actually save if you could argue the OMSP is too high (OMSP on this is €2250)

I thought single cab pickups were still flat rate no?

Don't think so although I could be wrong, the rules are as clear as mud and they keep stirring it up

Entering pick up brings up 13.3% in the calculator and all light commercial vehicles have been class B since 1 Jan this year.

The exception which would put it in Class C is if it's over 3500kg gvw or -
Category N1 - Vehicles that, at the time of manufacture, have less than four seats and have a technically permissible maximum laden mass weight that is greater than 130 per cent of the mass in service of the vehicle with bodywork in running order
