RTE 2 HD Black Screen

    Hi All,
    Looking for some help please.
    I have an old TV and connected up my Dig Settop Box via scart and all seemed good. When I started going though the channells all were good except for RTE 2 (HD).
    When I turn on this channell all I get is the sound and a black screen.

    Can Anyone help, or have i done something wrong? Signal seems fine.

    your set top box isn't saorview compatible.

    what is the box make and number?

    Can you post the make and model of the STB?

    My guess is it's a non-compatible receiver such as the Sky Picnic or Triax TR110.

    RTÉ 2 HD requires a reciver capable of decoding MPEG-4 L4.0 HD video. The other channels are transmitted in SD (MPEG-4 L3.0).

    Its a Sagem Picnic set top box.

    The Teletext works fine but not RTE 2 HD.

    Anyway to fix this?

    Saorview receiver required.
