    Hi all,

Please help me if you can. I'm a complete newbie to android.

    I got HTC Desire

    My e-mail is @live.ie

I have searched for the correct settings..

I found APN stuff on vodafone.ie and changed that.

It is looking for a server? Server not responding.

I solemnly promise that I have spent two hours googling and getting brain fried trying to do this myself already.

All I want to do is set up my @live accounts so I can get them on my new fancy phone.

    Any help greatly appreciated :)

Right lets start at the start.

Are you just trying to setup your phone to receive your Windows Live e-mail?
Youd just have to go into the standard mail app and add this and the settings should be automatic?

If you cant connect the the internet at all with the phone, then we have to go playing with the APN settings.
Vodafone have this app available to set them automatically though which is handy
    is there anybody out there:mad:

The APN settings are in the sticky on the mobile forum and delete the proxy so you don't get the red banners.

Once you have the internet working go to the market and download the hotmail app, the official one comes up 2nd in results and is by Microsoft and seven. I presume that'll work with @live emails or you can use the phone mail app.

    Thanks a million guys :)

I knew someone on here would help me out.

By the way the chocckydrop post is nothing to do with my original post.

I had logged off and given up on technology and was in the kitchen making sandwiches :P

I had already made the changes to APN as on vodafone site.
I had no problems getting on internet.
Then as Keith186 suggested I went to marketplace and got sorted.

    Thanks again :)
